Press Release 4 – Ohioans for Concealed Carry Endorsement (January 7, 2004)
Press Release
January 7, 2004
Ohioans for Concealed Carry (OFCC) PAC has endorsed John Becker for the position of Republican State Central Committeeman. The organization was impressed by Mr. Becker’s support for an individual’s right to self-defense and his commitment to other conservative issues.
The Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending & Taxes (C.O.A.S.T.) has also endorsed Mr. Becker. His support for the federal tax cuts and his opposition to Ohio’s recent 20 percent sales tax increase were important factors in winning this endorsement.
Mr. Becker has been an active member of the Clermont County Republican Party for over ten years and is the only candidate eligible for the Party’s endorsement. He is a conservative republican, pro-life, pro-limited government, and a life member of the NRA. He has lobbied in both Columbus and Washington DC on behalf of pro-family values.
Mr. Becker lives in the Eastgate area, is a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, and also attends St. Veronica Church with his family. He is employed as a Finance Officer for Provident Bank and earned an MBA (emphasis in taxation) from Xavier University.
The position of Republican State Central Committeeman is for Ohio’s 14th Senate District. It encompasses Clermont, Brown, Adams, Scioto, and part of Lawrence Counties. The election will be March 2, 2004 and will be a primary only. There will be no general election.
