The Becker Report – March 2022
Beckerisms
US Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brown
Doesn’t know…
When does life begin? Anybody who has ever taken 9th grade biology knows that life begins at fertilization. DNA further proves this.
Define a woman? Every child knows the answer to that question. Ninth grade biology teaches about chromosomes. “Can I provide a definition? No,” Jackson said. “I can’t.” “I’m not a biologist.” Tucker Carlson had a few comments on the topic.
Remember “follow the science”? This isn’t hard.
If somebody in a Senate hearing were to ask you, ‘What is two plus two?’ And, you, the nominee were to say, ‘I can’t answer that question. I am no mathematician.’ This should be immediately disqualifying… Here should be the rule — If a two-year-old can answer the question and you cannot, this means either you are an idiot or you are being deliberately idiotic to pander to the political flavor of the month.

Ten questions awaiting answers?
Consider this from the Heritage Foundation: “Kentanji Brown Jackson Is a Radical Judge; Senators Should Reject Her Confirmation.”
- In the news: Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing made clear that she cannot be trusted to uphold the law and follow the Constitution as a Supreme Court justice. Plain and simple, she is unqualified to serve on the court.
- A disqualifying record: Throughout the hearing, conservative senators exposed her atrocious record and views on issues like crime, immigration, and critical race theory. Her answers were appalling and, at times, downright disturbing.
- Troubling pattern: It should concern all Americans that a judge who wishes to sit on our highest court continues to defend her alarming track record of light sentences for child sex offenders.
- Our take: “Americans deserve a judge who will follow and uphold the law. Jackson has shown that she would do the opposite,” says Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts in a statement.
- Learn more: Plus, Senior Legal Fellow Tom Jipping explains exactly what the confirmation hearings revealed about Jackson in his latest commentary.
This statement is from the NRA-ILA: “Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has never affirmed that the Second Amendment protects the individual, fundamental right of all Americans to keep and bear arms for the defense of themselves or others…”
From LifeNews: “Ketanji Brown Jackson is an Abortion Activist Who Should Not be on the Supreme Court.”

Union Township Board of Trustees discusses debt
In the March meeting, I presented a debt analysis complete with graphs showing amortization schedules as well as principal and interest expenses. My presentation begins at about 2 hours and 16 minutes into the meeting.
The slides are here.
Union Township Restaurant Visits
This will likely be an on-going monthly update
My intent is to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, or carryout at EVERY restaurant in Union Township. I’m keeping track of which restaurants I visited and when. Furthermore, I occasionally report my visits on social media and might include a photo or two.
In addition to traditional restaurants, I also include a few specialty eateries like coffee, doughnut, dessert shops, and fish fries. (We NEED a Graeter’s in Union Township!!! ????)
This quest is for several reasons. Not in any particular sequence, they are as follows:
- Meet the manager to let them know that they can contact me if they need anything from Union Township. (I’m from the government and I’m here to help????)
- Get out of my comfort zone of the few restaurants that my wife and I routinely visit.
- Potentially discover great or interesting restaurants and promote their business on social media.
- Spend my money supporting the Union Township business owners and their employees.
None of the expenses related to any of this are from government or campaign funds. They are entirely out of my own pocket.
As of this writing, my 2022 dining “conquests” are as follows:
