The Becker Report – August 2024

Beckerisms

“Killer” or “Comrade” Kamala Harris

San Francisco Liberal – Not the “San Francisco Treat”

In the July 2024 edition of The Becker Report, I stated the following:

Her top issue is the right-to-kill, through the ninth month of pregnancy, for any reason or no reason. She believes that every “male” and female “birthing person” is entitled to bodily autonomy. It is unclear if she supports prostitution and illicit drug abuse. If she doesn’t, why not?

The Becker Report – July 2024

I have since learned that Harris supports prostitution. Are there no bounds to her decadence?
Apparently not. “Killer” Kamala has been promising to shove homicide by abortion or “abortioncide” through the ninth month of pregnancy, for any reason or no reason, down the throats of every American via federal legislation.

During the 18th and 19th centuries, Democrats and their ilk, wanted to enshrine slavery rights nationwide. They believed that every American should have the freedom to choose whether or not to own slaves. In their twisted minds, this was a human rights issue.

John Becker

As the centuries have gone by, the topics have changed but, unfortunately, not the mentality. In contrast, and at least to some extent, Republicans have stood firm as abolitionists since the 19th century.

Price Controls?

In a free economy, prices are set by the forces of supply and demand. Goods and services will not be offered unless the selling prices exceed that of the cost of producing those goods and services. Those costs include salaries, benefits, taxes, regulations, fuel, raw material costs, shrinkage, and the list goes on. Nothing good can, or has ever, come out of government mandated price controls.
Price controls result in shortages and the stifling of innovation. If food can’t be sold profitably, it won’t be made available for (legal) purchase. However, the black-market will thrive.

“Tampon” Tim Waltz

I want to believe that these things can’t be true:

Walz signs bill requiring schools to stock period products in boys’ bathrooms
Meet Tim Waltz

The following is an interesting description of the first day of the DNC convention:

The first night of the Vagina Monologues live from Chicago concluded well after midnight last night. The stage production, a staple of left wing America, lectured Americans on the need to kill kids for most of the evening and ended with elder abuse.
Joe Biden, their incumbent, was shoved well past prime time and his bed time. Perhaps they hoped he would fall asleep before taking stage. He rambled and slurred and defended his record and a supposed economic recovery no one feels.
In the end, this is Joe Biden’s legacy:
• War in Ukraine
• War in the Middle East
• Americans held hostage by Hamas
• Gas up 50%
• Electricity up 31%
• Groceries up 21%
• Rent up 22%
• Restaurant prices up 23%
• Your cost of living is up and your income is down.
At the end of the Monologues, the Democrats again celebrated the feminine desire to kill babies and the old man shuffled off the stage, out to pasture, and into the history books.
The Democrats’ final insult in their coup against the man who beat Trump was to make sure as few people saw him as possible. They’d rather talk about abortion.

Erick Erickson 8/20/2024

He missed Biden’s unconditional surrender in Afghanistan.

Kamala Harris Suggests Americans Struggling To Make Ends Meet Just Try Sleeping With Their Boss

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In an uplifting, inspiring address to the American people, Vice-President Kamala Harris offered a valuable bit of advice to American citizens struggling to put food on the table: just try sleeping with your boss.
While Kamala refused to elaborate on her pearl of wisdom for the everyday American, she did go on record by saying that it “worked for me every time.”
“So if we examine the passage of time in making ends meet, we can see that the easiest solution is to just try sleeping around with your boss,” Kamala explained, cackling at every pause for breath. “HAHAHAHA! It works every time — and there’s great significance to the passage of every time. Sleeping with your boss is very simple: you just sleep with them in order to make ends meet. That way your ends will meet. There is great significance to making ends meet. HAHAHAHA!!”
While several political commentators have compared Kamala’s advice to Marie Antoinette’s infamous “Let them eat cake,” most mainstream media outlets have thoroughly debunked this far-right conspiracy theory with the irrefutable observation that “Kamala never told anyone to eat cake — she just advised sleeping around.”
At publishing time, Kamala Harris had also suggested that Americans who are struggling financially should just try getting hired in a better job as DEI picks.

Union Township Update

Natural Gas Aggregation

The good news is that the horrid UT natural gas aggregation rate of $0.839/ccf will soon expire. (In all fairness, it was a competitive rate when it was originally negotiated.) The new rate will be $0.5894/ccf in November. To put that in perspective the August Duke rate is $0.6458/ccf. However, if you prefer to manage your gas supply contracts independently, outside of the aggregation program, you can view various rates offered by a host of different suppliers that did not bid on the aggregation program at EnergyChoice.Ohio.gov/ApplesToApples.aspx. Some of the available offers may be more competitive than the Township aggregation rate, but please be sure to carefully review the rates and offers to make sure you do not incur early termination fees or other hidden costs if you elect to manage your gas supply contract outside of the aggregation program.
The aggregation rate will be fixed for 12 months with no additional fees and no early termination fee. Per a vote of the people of Union Township, energy aggregation enrollment is automatic for most residents. There are two ways to be automatically enrolled: 1)You are currently in the UT gas aggregation program; 2) You currently purchase your gas energy from Duke. If you already purchase gas from another independent energy supplier, you should not receive an aggregation enrollment notice. Don’t confuse gas energy with gas distribution as they are two separate components of your underlying gas bill.. (All of us rely on Duke for distribution, maintenance, repair, and billing.)
For natural gas customers who are in either of the two above categories, opt-out letters will soon be in your mailbox. The choice is yours. More information is here: EnergyAlliances.com/Union-Township-Clermont-co.
As always, if you have questions about the program, please feel free to contact the Township at 513-752-1741 to discuss the program or to inquire with specific questions. Or call me at 513-753-6440.

Union Township welcomes new and growing businesses

Some of the below may be pending trustee approval:

  • A new development is approved for the area north of the Echelon apartments on Glen Este – Withamsville Road. Although not finalized, the new businesses appear to include The Works Pizza, Bad Tom Smith Brewing, By Golly’s Bar & Grill, and more. Well, I guess that is “the works.”
  • Flavorfull India is open for business at 834 Ohio Pike, Suite 100. They grill food – not customers.
  • Starbucks is “brewing” plans to potentially raze the old Taco Bell “Tom Yum” on Ohio Pike near Bach Buxton. Their plans are under review.
  • New construction has begun at the site of the new Wyler Super Store location. They have “shifted into high gear” and are building a used car superstore.
  • Progress continues at the materials reclamation center off Winding Creek Boulevard, near the Township line. We hope that the construction activities will conclude this year.
  • Panda Express has razed the car wash next to the Union Township library and will build a new location there. It’s an “appetizing” venture. The overpass construction is delaying their start date. This project is beginning to look like a 2025 completion.
  • Mercy Health urgent care center is under construction in the Jungle Jim’s parking lot in front of LaRosa’s. They’ll soon be repairing “broken” bones, skin, and more. We are waiting for the tenant to complete interior buildout on this, and are waiting for an updated timeline.
  • Children’s Hospital is under construction in the Ivy Pointe area near TQL. Our concerns have been “healed.”
  • Wawa will be taking over the old Mt. Carmel Kroger location. Rah-rah to Wawa for taking over a shuttered business. Demolition has begun and construction is expected to be complete early next year.
  • Alfaa purchased and submitted plans to build on an empty lot on the corner of Aicholtz Road and Eastgate Blvd. I’m wondering if they sell alfalfa sprouts?
  • A small strip mall is coming to the corner of SR 32 and Mt. Carmel Tobasco Road on Yates Lane. I expect them to be rolling in dough soon. A zoning permit has been issued. No start date has been announced.
  • The old Valero on the corner of Ohio Pike and Bennett Road is under new ownership. They will be tearing down the old building and constructing a new convenience and wine store. The previous condition of the property was certainly something to whine about.
  • The Home2 Suites is expected to open very soon. They have made certain “accommodations” and residents can “sleep well” knowing that.
  • Honda East will be “shifting gears” to “rev up” sales by expanding their operations in Cherry Grove. They might “tire,” “brake,” and “shock” you, but they are “on a roll.” Wouldn’t it be nice if they offered free samples? Construction has been delayed while they finalize their plans.
  • TQL will be adding an additional 1,000 jobs at its sprawling UT campus. The new southern wing will look similar to their recently added northern wing. The project is “trucking” along. “Total Quality” will be a “Logistic” requirement.
  • Kroger has “crushing” plans to demolish Sears and build a new 123,722 square foot Kroger Marketplace store detached from the mall. The store will include a Starbucks, drive through pharmacy, expanded deli, expanded bakery, a Murray Cheese section, sushi, expanded adult beverage section, apparel, home goods, expanded grocery section, and a Kroger fuel center with 18 fuel pumps. The fuel will be on the recently shuttered Wendy’s side of the parking lot. The northeast side of the store will have a parking area for on-line pickup. The current Kroger store on Eastgate Boulevard will likely close in coordination with opening the new Kroger Marketplace store. All plans are currently on hold pending litigation with the owner of the Eastgate Mall.
