Dear Editor:

Many thanks to the Union Township Police, Trustees, and County Prosecutor Don White for shutting down Deja Vu in Mt. Carmel (“Strip club agrees to close by year’s end,”Dec.16). Over the years, many of us have prayed, protested, and/or picketed to rid our community of the smut that was threatening our personal values and our property values.

The door is now open to restore safety and pride to Mt. Carmel. The porn pushers have been defeated and we are no longer under the threat of becoming a seedy red-light district.
